Job Purpose

Job Responsibilities

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials and services.

Evaluate supplier capabilities, including quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery lead times, to select the most suitable vendors.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with MRO suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers through regular communication, performance reviews, and collaboration on continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, quality performance, and responsiveness, and address any issues or concerns proactively.

Generate purchase orders for MRO materials, tools, fixtures, and other supplies based on inventory levels, production schedules, and maintenance requirements.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as maintenance, operations, and engineering teams, to determine MRO purchasing needs and specifications.

Utilize Baan or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to create and manage subcontracting orders for outsourced services or specialized manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or related field.

2.Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

3.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

4.Proficiency in using procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
