Job Purpose

This position must  apply technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to operate, set up, and use machine tools to create precision parts and instruments. Link it to the study plan: https://shre.ink/Operations

Job Responsibilities

Set up and prepare machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, or CNC machines, for operation by installing cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

Select and install cutting tools, inserts, and tool holders based on job requirements, material properties, and machining processes.

Operate machine tools to perform machining operations, including turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and threading, to produce precision parts with tight tolerances.

Load and unload workpieces into machine tools manually or using material handling equipment, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping to prevent movement during machining.

Inspect machined parts visually and dimensionally using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to verify conformance to specifications.

Adjustments: Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to machine settings, cutting speeds, and feed rates as needed to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity.
