Job Purpose

Operate, set up, and program CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. Link it to the study plan: https://shre.ink/Operations

Job Responsibilities

Prepare CNC machines for operation by loading materials, installing cutting tools, and configuring machine settings according to job requirements.

Create and edit CNC programs using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, based on engineering drawings, blueprints, or specifications.

Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and tool holders for machining operations, considering factors such as material type, cutting speed, and surface finish requirements.

Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations, such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding, while monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as needed.

Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure conformance to dimensional tolerances and quality standards.

Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
